Meet & Greet De-Brief!

Thanks to the, more than, 150 pink enthusiasts who attended last week's Meet & Greet. Re-connecting with all the Tri Babe Veterans definitely renewed and re-invigorated your Tri Turtle. It was a true pleasure to meet this year's "crop of Newbies." Based upon your excitement level, I know we will have a fabulous 2009 training season. Trixie, our team mascot, felt a little slighted by the Tri Turtle and rather unappreciated by the group at large (Trixie notably excepts Cyndy Ayers and Kelly Cole from this category). But, hey, Trixie DOES represent the inner diva we must control.

I hope that those who attended seeking convincing were convinced; that those who sought encouragement were comforted and cajoled; and that those who sought cheerleading were inspired (if not, I am sorry that I forgot my pom-poms)!!!

If you were not able to attend the Meet & Greet, please use this new and improved website to get all your logistical/administrative questions answered. If you have individual questions, please email me directly at millball02@aol.com. Thank you to Lynn Grellner, Teneka Morley-Short, LeAnne Kendall, and Original Tri Babe Kelly Cole for "motivating" me to re-vamp the website and helping me gather the necessary information. Thank you to webMASTER, Craig Cole, for all his hard work creating and maintaining our virtual community.

The 3rd most important thing to know is that it is not too late for ANYONE to join the 2009 Tri Babes. Simply download the Registration Form and Waiver and send it, along with your training fee, to: Tri Turtle Wellness, 2801 Cantu Ln. N.W. Seabeck, WA 98380.

The 2nd most important thing to know is that you can view the training schedule here. As long as you join us for the two Group trainings (or do their equivalent on your own) each week, you WILL be sufficiently trained to comPLETE a Sprint Distance triathlon. If you also follow the Tri Turtle's suggestions for what training to do on your own the other 5 days a week, you will finish happily, with a smile on your face!!!

The 1st most important thing to know is that YOU CAN DO THIS!!! As long as you can go from the couch to the Haagen-Das, you can comPLETE the first group training. If you finish the first, you can do the second, and so on and so forth. By the end of our 12 weeks of training, you WILL be a successful triathlete!!!

I want to give a
HUGE PINK THANKS to ALL the volunteers who made this year's Meet & Greet such a huge success: Cyndy Ayers, Corri Olsen, Carla Lawson, Candace Alvarez, Jaime Reeves, Rhonda Stephens, Teneka Morley-Short, and Lynn Grellner. As always, special thanks to David (the dark blue power behind the pink throne) and Dane (who acts like he is so beleaguered but secretly LOVES to be involved)!

Oh, and I want
Sandy Willoughby to know that I am as grateful for my new turtle bike horn as she is "happy" for my new bike!!! ;)

~ Lisa Be very excited to get this show on the road!!!
